get it together
finally I got myself a job after almost 2 months of being unemployed. & I'm pretty happy with it, especially the working hours. 5 working days, 1 or 2 days will be working full day (9 - 6) and the rest of the days 4 hours each. well at least that's what my agent told me, but I heard from her client that they said abit differently on the phone the other day. it doesn't really matter, I will free myself from ambiguity on the first day, as they are still able to give me half days on certain days that I can't work full day. (:life hasn't often felt this right for me. this feeling of rightness, and I suppose I'm starting to panic about losing it. have you guys read or heard about the cyclone that has killed more than 15,000 people in Myanmar? Isn't it sad, one of Asia's worst natural disasters has wiped away entire villages, wreaking destruction on a country that is already one of the poorest on the planet. the death toll has been rising by multiples of 10 or even 30 at a time. hundreds of thousands of people had been left homeless in Yangon region alone, and there was risk of disease spreading in the absence of proper shelter and drinking water. and here I thought that it wasn't so bad, until I read the news about this cyclone disaster just now (alright, I know I'm slow). also, I never thought that this kind of natural disaster is deadly serious. when Qamarul told me that there's going to be typhoon at his place in Taiwan, I figured that it's normal like what my parents told me. little did I know how much damaged it could cause. but than again, cyclone lasts for days while typhoon last for only a few minutes, fyi. there is definitely at least a quantitative difference there. anyway, I really hope Myanmar will get as much aid as soon as possible. it's totally freaky to know that so many people die at the same time. there are already traces of the end of the world, so many things are happening around the mother earth now. for example, global warming. the weather has become so crazily humid these days. it's not something new but I don't think majority of the world-ians are doing anything about it. sadly, that includes me (most of the time). and there's also the HFMD that's affecting so many innocent kids in Singapore. & many many more. OK, sidetrack abit. he's coming back tonight!! after one damn month! when I just got myself adjusted and loving the freedom. hahaha. boyfriend, see you at the airport! |
